The gray vinyl background in these shots really bothered me, so I masked it out of  most layers by compositions 3-6. This let me treat each layer more as individual objects, which is what lead to the leaf pile in #6. I’m using some pretty thick opacities in most of these later comps. Overall, I like the series as a progression.
